About me

©Xqualo-Cefalopodos 8074I am a biologist and zoologist with special interest for aquatic environments. I like the ocean and love the deep ocean.  I worked with deep sea samples of several abyssal plains of the Atlantic and pacific oceans. As a classical taxonomist I like to look on details.  My research focuses on taxonomy of cephalopods and Tanaidacea (crustacea).

Biodiversity on our planet is still the big unknown and one of the last frontiers in discovery for mankind.  In my opinion the study and understanding of the global biodiversity is the key to our survival in the future.

Beside science I enjoy the company of my dogs and to cook.
